The Kenya Institute of Organic Farming (KIOF) is a non-profit NGO that operates throughout Kenya and the Eastern Africa region – promoting rural development and education in areas of organic agriculture and related marketing services. KIOF is currently based in Juja town near Thika, 30 km North of Nairobi, and maintains demonstration centers in five locations of the Eastern, Central and Rift Valley Provinces. KIOF works alongside other NGOs, government departments, and research organizations to further promote and develop organic agriculture for sustainable rural livelihoods. KIOF offers courses, a diploma in organic agriculture, wwoofing for volunteers and regional workshops.
