The Promoting Access to Carbon Equity (PACE) Centre is a South African based non-profit organization, focused on facilitating emission projects in Southern Africa. PACE offers support, advice and a new mechanism to facilitate local carbon saving projects- that have developmental benefits called Credible Carbon Tm and which gives credibility to carbon offset projects in Southern Africa.

PACE matches project developers with carbon buyers and can assist with the registration of CDM projects in the voluntary markets.

Practical applications of some of the work done by PACE -

Green Edge consulting is Carbon Neutral and used PACE to offset carbon for their 2009 year carbon emissions. The company purchased credits from the 2Tribes township renewable energy project in Benoni, thereby offsetting 2.3 tons of Co2.
