The Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (also known as AEWA or African-Eurasian Waterbird Agreement) aims to maintain or restore populations of waterbird species at a favourable conservation status. It is an intergovernmental treaty concluded under the aegis of CMS and administered by the United Nations Environment Programme, concerned with the conservation of migratory waterbirds in Africa, Europe, Middle East and Central Asia.
